Who are we?

We are a team of Femtec scholarship holders led by Ivana K., Stefanie B. and Luise H.. Femtec is a network for women in STEM subjects, and supports our mission helping Ukrainian women and children.

As the war has been continuing to fill media and news with heartbreaking stories, pleading videos and daunting pictures, we realized that we cannot just sit and watch. Donations can make a big difference for many instituitions, and we want to support UN Women ¹ in their missions.

UN Women is the United Nations entity dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. UN Women is committed to supporting the people of Ukraine, especially the women and girls, at this time of greatest need. They are working to ensure that women’s priority needs are addressed, and their rights respected: They support women’s access to information, safety and security as well as to basic necessities such as food, medicine, and hygiene products, accommodation, water and access to power and connectivity. They also support women’s access to livelihoods, including the ability to work and earn an income.

¹ As the initiative Classroom for Ukraine has come to an end, we can no longer support them.
